Google forms for Assessment

Google Forms: After exploring google forms as a learning tool, I realized how easy was to create and use them. This tool helps assess, collect, organize evidence for my students. For this assignment, I uploaded a picture of the cricket body parts for a science lesson into a google form. Students demonstrate their knowledge by looking at the diagram and responding to the questions. When students respond to the assessment, the form provides me with a count of how many students know the concept and how many students need more practice. In order to grant access to students, it was necessary to create  QR code so students had easy access to the task. Learning  how to use this tools in my lessons, has cut down on the amount of time I normally spend grading instead  I spend more time giving  feedback  and instructing  students

Crickets report

In this collaborative project, I ask first-grade students to use voice type to complete an animal report about crickets in Spanish.  In this science unit, students get information from different sources whole group lessons, classroom observations, classroom books and digital resources. Students then use the information to complete the report in pairs. After the report is done, students upload the slides to seesaw and record their voices. On Seesaw students discuss and comment on each other’s work by giving a suggestion and a compliment. This activity helps me see how students work with one another how much academic vocabulary students use in writing and speaking. Students enjoy using the tool and build a presentation with others.
676 Fall 2017 During my technology learning process, I wanted to find an application that will help me keep track of my student’s participation, behavior, collaboration, and academic progress.  I came across to Dojo class. Class Dojo is management/ digital class portfolio. Currently, as everyone else in my district, I am using Seesaw. I think that this app does the work for a digital portfolio but is lacking on aspects that help me evaluate my student's engagement, participation, and collaboration. At first, I started using class dojo as award system in the classrooms according to our rules and expectations.  Students receive automatic feedback of their behavior which improved dramatically. One of the greatest advantages of this application is that students are all working for the same objective. Students can collaborate with peers and showcase their day with parents.  I started to play around with the application and found out that it had SEL activities...
