Crickets report

In this collaborative project, I ask first-grade students to use voice type to complete an animal report about crickets in Spanish.
In this science unit, students get information from different sources whole group lessons, classroom observations, classroom books and digital resources. Students then use the information to complete the report in pairs. After the report is done, students upload the slides to seesaw and record their voices. On Seesaw students discuss and comment on each other’s work by giving a suggestion and a compliment. This activity helps me see how students work with one another how much academic vocabulary students use in writing and speaking. Students enjoy using the tool and build a presentation with others.

Introduction

My name is Tulia Golden, I teach first-grade Dual Language Immersion (DL) Spanish in Naperville District 203. I started teaching first grade DL in 2010. I am excited to learn more about technology. I want to become😃 more comfortable using it in my lessons and with my students.  My school district Technology Initiative is to become 2:1 iPods for grades K-1 and 1:1 Chrome books for grade 2 to 12th. I look forward embarking in this exciting technological journey!
