Faculty Meeting Agenda
EEND680Y - 21st Century Ed Leadership
I decided to include the Faculty Meeting Agenda because before this class I have no have the opportunity to create on agendas involving a digital collaboration. The amount of preparation is the same as a more traditional meeting.
In order to create a more dynamic faculty meeting agenda, I took some tips from the article How to Use Technology in Your Faculty Meetings by Jackie Myers. I decided to use the first component Bring Your Own Device (BYD) staff will be able to access the agenda on following along with links, and videos from their own devices. The next component I included in my plan is the show and tell, what is going well? teachers have the opportunity to share a tip or trick using technology in the classroom.
One resource, I would like to explore more to Flipped a Faculty Meeting. The administrator created a five minute where the staff can view and the video at their own pace and from the comfort of their home. I think this concept of communicating with staff is very accessible and it is something district should look into this for snow days or meetings that are less in involve. In the past, I had to use a flipped video to go over a mini-lesson. Students love it since they can go on their own pace and replay the video at home. I know my school district has use flipped videos to convey a message through the entire staff I can see my administrators adopting this practice more in the near future.
