Reflection EED678

This course  help me evaluate technology I am using in my classroom. It helped me make informed decisions of the applications my students use to complement  the curriculum.
This course helped me understand the difference between individualized, personalized education, and differentiation.
In Dale Basye’s article  clearly defines these three words that are used interchangeable in education. Before reading this article, I used to think that they all meant  the same thing.
In order to teach more effective lessons we need to identify students’ needs and the technological tools that will help students access their curriculum.
In the article, Enhancing Learning Through Differentiated Technology by Julie Stern presented way to use  specific technologies to assist students abilities to assess students, enhance their learning and develop new knowledge.
In this course I have the opportunity  to discuss different assisted technology that my peers use in the classrooms and how students learning experiences improve. It open my eyes that these technologies exist and how fortunate our students are.
I would love to continue learning about assisted technology and how to best use them in my classroom. I would love to have more conversations with our  special ed teacher and learning Behavior teachers so I can advocate for my students and provide them with what they need.

Introduction

My name is Tulia Golden, I teach first-grade Dual Language Immersion (DL) Spanish in Naperville District 203. I started teaching first grade DL in 2010. I am excited to learn more about technology. I want to become😃 more comfortable using it in my lessons and with my students.  My school district Technology Initiative is to become 2:1 iPods for grades K-1 and 1:1 Chrome books for grade 2 to 12th. I look forward embarking in this exciting technological journey!
