Flipped The Classroom Using IPad- Artifact 2

Flipping the classroom is an approach that teachers can use to provide individualize and differentiated instruction. In the video above,  I explain how to use the Seesaw app to record and explain a reading. I use this tool daily with my guided reading groups. Students and families love this tool because students can access the content at any time and parents can see what students are learning.
Using this tool has provided me with more time to conferred with students and provide them with  more application time in the classroom.  Some of my advance students have access to the material prior to teaching. My students are able to access and work on contend independently.
Another benefit, it is that  students are  accountable for the material and eager to learn. In many instances students ask me about the next reading.  I would love to explore this tool  in other subjects and share  with my colleagues.

Introduction

My name is Tulia Golden, I teach first-grade Dual Language Immersion (DL) Spanish in Naperville District 203. I started teaching first grade DL in 2010. I am excited to learn more about technology. I want to become😃 more comfortable using it in my lessons and with my students.  My school district Technology Initiative is to become 2:1 iPods for grades K-1 and 1:1 Chrome books for grade 2 to 12th. I look forward embarking in this exciting technological journey!
