Artifact 2 Screencastify

Modeling: how to use a Seesaw tool with screencastify

This activity gave me the opportunity to be out of my comfort zone.
I think that when my students watch a video explanation, it creates a connection with the person they are watching. I feel that there is an extension of me when they are able to hear my  voice. One of the great things about this tool is that I was able to record video with my webcam at the same time I was able to show my screen to my students. This program gave me options to choose between cameras and microphones for the type of recording I want to make. It provides its users more than one plugged in and uploads directly to Google Drive or YouTube. I think that I will use screencastify in regularly to explain more digital steps to my students in Spanish.

Introduction

My name is Tulia Golden, I teach first-grade Dual Language Immersion (DL) Spanish in Naperville District 203. I started teaching first grade DL in 2010. I am excited to learn more about technology. I want to become😃 more comfortable using it in my lessons and with my students.  My school district Technology Initiative is to become 2:1 iPods for grades K-1 and 1:1 Chrome books for grade 2 to 12th. I look forward embarking in this exciting technological journey!
