My name is Tulia Golden, I teach first-grade Dual Language Immersion (DL) Spanish in Naperville District 203. I started teaching first grade DL in 2010. I am excited to learn more about technology. I want to become😃 more comfortable using it in my lessons and with my students. My school district Technology Initiative is to become 2:1 iPods for grades K-1 and 1:1 Chrome books for grade 2 to 12th. I look forward embarking in this exciting technological journey!
Tulia, I find dual language to be a very interesting concept. My godson is in a dual language program, and I am amazed at how quickly his first grade mind can learn Spanish and English! I am happy we are on this learning journey together. I look forward to learning more dual language.
ReplyDeleteTulia, welcome to 677! Since this post, what is one goal you hope to achieve by the end of the school year? What do your students love to do on the iPods? Can't wait to learn more about your classroom!
ReplyDeleteTulia, welcome to EEND678! I'm excited to continue on this learning experience with you. I currently co-teaching with an EL teacher in writing and it has been wonderful. She has also taken all of these courses and I bet you are finding so many ideas to incorporate in your dual language first grade. I just learned about Shadow Puppets on iPads last night. Have you ever used that for book retelling?
ReplyDeleteHi Tulia,
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to be taking another class with you! I'm always amazed at how much you incorporate tech with your 1st graders and how much knowledge they have. It would be so fun to collaborate and have our kiddos work together!
Tulia, Great to have you in class again! I look forward to hear how your professional journey has been through the these classes and with your students. Your contributions to discussions and collaborations are thoughtful and insightful!
ReplyDeleteTulia... Isn't teaching Dual Language amazing??? I've been teaching developmental bilingual for over 8 years at the middle school level. I've been trying to convince my ELL director to approach Dual Language at this district for the longest, but have been unsuccessful. I will get your questions answered for our interview ASAP. Here's to a successful class.
ReplyDeleteHello Tulia - It was great to work with you last week, and it was even better to have the chance to get to know you more through your blog. It will be wonderful that you can provide the ELL lens for our class this semester.
ReplyDeleteHi Tulia,
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you in our new class this week! I, too, hope to become more comfortable with technology through these courses. Good luck!
